Oxton Women’s Institute is a place to make friends and find out what is happening in the village. It provides opportunities for varied outings and trying different sports (in which members have had some success!), as well as learning experiences from the variety of speakers.
Each summer, the WI holds a meeting in a member’s garden: last year, a special meeting with strawberries and cream was held to celebrate the birthdays of three members who had all reached the age of 90.
There will be ‘Afternoon Teas’ once a month in the Village Hall commencing Tuesday October 4th 2-4pm. This is open to all. Cups of tea and cake will be served.
