The Church of St. Peter and St. Paul, “of an ancient fabric and with a tower and six bells,” was founded in Saxon times and stands in the heart of Oxton village.
In addition to church services, there are a variety of regular activities for both children and adults, including: home study groups, prayer groups, coffee meetings, and children’s groups.
Children and Young people’s groups include:
- Pathfinders – for young people aged between 9 and 16 who alternate meetings between Oxton and Epperstone Village Halls
- Sunday Club – for children aged 3 and above to have fun and learn about the Christian faith
- Scramblers – for children of pre-school age accompanied by their parents or carers, who gather for a story, a prayer and a related activity (such as painting or modelling) and refreshments.
