Sunday morning 12th July saw the unwanted arrival of four fridge/freezers dumped in the lay-by at the top of Forest Road.
The incidences of fly-tipping increased during lock down when waste recycling centres were closed – unfortunately they are still happening. Please check carefully the credentials of any waste removal company you chose to use. Better still, contact your local authority and ask them to collect any items you cannot take to the recycling centre.
Please be vigilant when out and about and, if you can, take a note of the number plate of any suspicious looking vehicles. Report to the local authority, which in Oxton’s case is Newark and Sherwood District Council 01636 650000 https://www.newark-sherwooddc.gov.uk/flytipping/
