As part of the many national events being organised to remember those who lost their lives in the Great War, all Oxton residents are invited to display poppy decorations on their property.
Please feel free to be as inventive as you like and let us support this historic day.
Oxton’s WW1 War Memorial is a stained glass window over the Altar in the East Window and shows a soldier lying at the foot of the Cross. The names of all the men of Oxton who died in the War are listed on each side.
The Church of St Peter & St Paul are planning to commemorate the 100th Anniversary of the end of WW1 on 11th November, 2018.
