Once again this year, 4 gardens in Oxton are opening for charity and we invite you to come and support us, whether it is just to wander round the gardens or to enjoy a mug of soup or a cup of tea and of course some delicious cake.
This year, as well as donating the entrance fees to the National garden Scheme Charities, which include Macmillan, Marie Curie, Help the Hospices, Carerstrust, Queen’s Nursing Institute, National Trust Gardening Careerships, Parkinsons UK, Gardeners’ Royal Benevolent Society and the Garden Museum, we are donating the proceeds from tea and plant sales to St Peter’s Church Oxton.
An event such as this always involves a lot of work and this year, as we are collecting for the church, we would be grateful for any help that villagers and church members can give us. If you think you can help in any of the following ways, please contact Joan Arnold, preferably by email at email@example.com or on 0115 9653789 where you can leave a message if we are not in.
Help would be appreciated by
Baking a cake
Helping sell tickets at the gate
Helping serve teas at Crows Nest Cottage
Donating any spare plants for sale
Helping distribute posters
Helping put up signage
