The new local bus timetable started operation on Monday 8th July 2013.
This bus will now take you to Calverton on an hourly basis from 0933 hrs to 1433 hrs (Mon – Sat). This enables a connection to The Trentbarton Calverton Connection (CC) service to Arnold and Nottingham.
Return journeys run from Calverton back to Oxton from 1025 hrs to 1425 hrs.
The service goes on through Epperstone, Shelt Hill (new stop), Lowdham and then along the Burton Joyce (A612) road and onward along the Netherfield Bypass to Netherfield Victoria Retail Park (NVRP), for B&Q, Halfords, Morrisons etc. It now terminates there and will not progress to Nottingham.
The journey to/from NVRP takes 53 minutes.
The journey to/from Calverton takes 5 minutes.
In addition to the newly restored connection at Calverton, travellers can also change at Lowdham (or Burton Joyce) to catch the NCT Pathfinder 100 service eastbound to Southwell, or at the same location(s) westbound on the same service to Nottingham. Note that the Pathfinder 100 does not go along the shoppingThe 100 is an excellent service and well worth a try.
If you catch one of the last two buses of the day at NVRP you need to REQUEST that the driver take you to Oxton, otherwise the service will terminate at Lowdham.
