Oxton Village Open Gardens 2013

Open Gardens 2013

We are all looking forward to opening our gardens and very much hope that you will come and support us on Sunday 23rd June, 12-6pm.

This year, in addition to the entrance money going to the NGS charities (Macmillan Cancer Support, Marie Curie Cancer Care, Help the Hospices and Carers Trust), we are donating all the money we raise from teas, plant and flower sales to our own Oxton Village Lifecycle project.

Fresh cut flowers will be sold at Pilgrim Cottage. Plants will be sold at Wesley Grange and also opposite Crows Nest Cottage where soup and delicious teas will be served.

We would also be grateful for any help that you can give us, either by selling tickets or by helping serve the teas. Please contact Joan Arnold on 0115 965 3789 or trebleclef.arnold@btinternet.com if you are able to help for some time during the day.

  1. What a lovely way to spend a summer’s (!) afternoon. and, luckily, even the rain stopped around 2pm. I very big thank you to all the people involved with today’s Open Gardens……..the village was teeming with keen gardening enthusiasts some of whom had travelled from as far away as Chesterfield.
All the gardens looked beautiful and brought admiring comments from their visitors.
    Thank you again 🙂
