Not one, not two, but at least three runners from Oxton will be taking part in the Virgin London Marathon on 21st April 2013.

Ian Buchan is raising money for Scope, the charity that helps those affected by Cerebral Palsy. Over the years Ian has raised thousands of pounds for Scope in treks to Everest Base Camp and Mera Peak, both in Nepal.

When you think about it it is remarkable that from a population of about 600 in Oxton we have three runners out of a total of about 40,000 attempting the London Marathon; we are punching well above our weight.
