The Environment Agency recommends that each community affected by the risk of flooding should have a flood plan that sets out clearly the action to be taken before, during and after a flood. A team of residents, led by Cllr Robin Aldridge, have been working on this and have now produced the Oxton Flood Plan.
This is part of the community resilience measures portfolio organised by the Parish Council.
The Flood Plan has been agreed by the Oxton Flood Team and the Parish Council and will be used if we have a flood alert.
It’s advised that all those concerned about the possibility of flooding should read the plan and ensure that the flood wardens have your contact details.
