After the sell out Irish night on March 16th, The Projection House is proud to present its next film event on Saturday May 5th – blockbusters, with a hint of romance.
The first film is The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn (PG). Released late last year and directed by Steven Spielberg, it features a star-studded cast including Simon Pegg and Daniel Craig, and will appeal to all ages. Intrepid reporter Tintin and salty sea dog Captain Haddock set off on a treasure hunt for a sunken ship commanded by Haddock’s ancestor.
The second film is Bridesmaids (15), a highly acclaimed comedy starring Kristen Wiig, Maya Rudolph and Rose Byrne. Competition between the maid of honour and a bridesmaid, over who is the bride’s best friend, threatens to upend the life of an out-of-work pastry chef.
As an added inducement to encourage that romantic feeling we will be offering strawberries and champagne, in addition to the usual popcorn, snacks and drinks.
As ever, the films will be shown on a large screen with a superb sound system in the comfortable surroundings of Oxton Village Hall.
