Time to get the boots back on!

With Christmas a receding memory, it’s time to put the boots back on as pre-season nets begin, pavilion plans continue and the new season’s fixtures appear.

GET DOWN TO NETS!
With a Saturday and Sunday side, there are plenty of opportunities to play cricket in Oxton this summer and we always welcome new players to our pre-season nets, which have already begun!

Even if you just want to do some more interesting post-Christmas exercise, get down to the nets which are every Thursday between 6.30 and 7.30pm at Nottingham High School indoor sports hall. It’s the building with the basketball nets on the outside, just off the school’s main car part off Forest Road East. Net fees are £3.50 per session.

NEW SEASON’S CHALLENGES
Next season we will be playing in Division H of the South Notts Cricket League on Saturdays and Division 2 of the Newark Alliance on Sundays. The teams we will be playing are;

Saturdays
Bottesford
Lowdham
Bramcote
Rolls Royce Leisure
Gedling & Sherwood
Ruddington
Lambley Village
Thrumpton
West Bridgford Legion

Sundays
Attenborough
Kimberley Institute
Bestwood Village
Long Eaton
Caythorpe
Notts & Arnold Amateur
Ellerslie
Thurgarton
