Oxton’s first film night a great success

The inaugural film night by Oxton’s very own electric picture palace pioneers, The Projection House, was a great success.
On Saturday 26th November, around thirty children and adults were spellbound by the wit, animation and energy of the Oscar winning film TOY STORY 3.

The later showing of MADE IN DAGENHAM was watched by around forty adults who were taken back in time to the 60’s to relive the true gritty story of Ford women machinists going on strike for equal pay, something we now take for granted.

The feedback from the audiences was all positive, commenting particularly on the relaxed atmosphere, the tables on which to put your food and drink, the intervals during each film and the opportunity to meet and chat with friends old and new.
Buoyed by the success of the first screening the PROJECTION HOUSE team will be putting on more Film Nights in the coming months with the next screening planned for Saturday 11th February in the Village Hall, with the children’s film at 4.00 pm and the main feature at 7.30 pm.
